Motorcyclist Killed In Crash With Pickup Truck

Florida has one of the highest rates of motorcycle accidents, injuries, and deaths in the United States. The Sunshine State has a large number of riders due to its beautiful weather. However, motorcycles face many dangers on the roadways, especially if they collide with much larger vehicles.

Sadly, this was recently the case in St. Cloud. A motorcycle rider was killed when a pickup truck turned in his path, causing a head-on collision. The fatal crash occurred on the evening of February 10.

A Mitsubishi Raider pickup truck was heading south on Holopaw Road, near Concord Road. At the same time, a Kawasaki motorcycle was traveling north on Holopaw Road. The driver of the pickup truck made a left turn to travel east on Concord Road and ended up in the direct path of the motorcycle. As a result, the fronts of both vehicles collided.

The motorcycle rider, a 62-year-old man from St. Cloud, died at the accident scene. The driver of the pickup truck, a 65-year-old man also from St. Cloud, was not injured. He remained at the accident scene.

The accident resulted in a roadblock in the northbound and southbound lanes of Holopaw Road.

The crash is under investigation.

Back and neck injuries, facial injuries, compound fractures, paralysis, amputations, internal bleeding, organ damage, and brain damage are all possible injuries in a motorcycle crash.
